With the economy going the way that it has and the fact that you never know what tomorrow will bring, We decided it was time to get off of our butts and get going on our food storage.
We actually had a pretty good storage before we had our house fire 8 years ago but had to throw it all out due to the extreme heat that it had been exposed to and smoke damage. Of coarse, we should have replaced it all but we didn't and now we are feeling the need to replenish our supply.
Last night was our Wards night to go to the cannery. We actually had money and thought it was a good time to get started. We got Flour, Spaghetti, Potato Pearls and Sugar.
We actually canned 14 cases of food (84 cans total) in one hour. It was amazing how fast and smooth the whole process was! I can't wait to add more next month!
