Are you SERIOUS!?!?!

This past Saturday was the El Cheapo dance at the High School.
The theme was "Candy Land"
Student Counsel spent MANY hours painting, making decorations and decorating to make it looked like you were in the candy land game.
It was SUPER cool!

Kristen, Shae and Jalen standing with their characters.

Shae was Queen Frostine

So, the dance started a 8:00 and was supposed to go until 11:00.
At 10:00, Shae comes home and says that after an hour of the dance, one of the administrators cancelled the dance because there were a group of kids not following the rules.
(apparently they were moshing, crowd surfing and dirty dancing)
This group of kids were told to leave and they wouldn't so she just shut the whole thing down.

So, I have a few questions.....

1. Who do these kids think they are? (just wait I will show you)
2. Why punish EVERYONE for the actions of a few nit wits?
3. If your child was one of these nit wits, would you be angry or supp0rtive of their actions?

K....Part of the answer to #1.....I saw what these kids were writing on FB that night after the dance. Here are a few of their comments.

*actual FB post, names have been changed*

Clueless -I'm sorry that you put all that time and effort into that dance that really sucks.... BUT first of all the dance didn't get cancelled because of us "guys".. the dance got cancelled cuz everyone got pissed at Shipton overreacting so we all left...it wasn't cancelled until the school was empty.. I blame Shipton she needs to calm the heck down

IDIOT- in everyones defense the whole point behind that wasn't to ruin the hard work you guys put in it was for the admistration to learn that the school is sick of their BS all the time and its not just the kids that think that there is plenty of parents and plenty of teachers inside the school

JERK-pretty sure the administration ows us are money back! sorry to the people that put the time and effort into putting the dance together but u can thank the administration for screwing that up, and for those 18 people that want appologies there was at least 30 at the after party that would beg to differ

*they can't spell or punctuate*

So, obviously these kids think they did nothing wrong. They think they are above the rules AND they don't care who it affects as long as they got their jollies.

#2. I don't understand the "punish everyone" thing. This is the second time this year that they have done this. The first time was during Homecoming. (They cancelled the PEP rally because someone vandalized a car and put it on the football field.)

Wouldn't it have been more effective by calling the Police and having them remove the nit wits?
To me that would have been a bigger example to those who may think about doing this again.

#3. If my kid would have been involved, I would have been embarrassed and ANGRY.
They would have been on morning announcement this morning doing a public apology.

and lastly.......Parent or Teenager......Do you think is appropriate to have someone grinding on your son or daughter on the dance floor? Just curious because apparently "idiots" parents think it is okay!
